The work was Inspired by the intimacy of street henna stalls and the conversations which flow from them. Inviting attendees to sit down with us and engage in conversations around race and identity, whilst we did their mehndi.

Who The Henna U? was a collaborative live installation as part of the Tate Exchange programme in collaboration with BA Fine Art students from Central Saint Martins.

Replicating a domestic space made up of objects and materials from within my home, this piece aimed to establish a means of exchange that felt both intimate and communal.
